Julie created DreamScape Desserts in her home kitchen. In 2007 Julie's sister wanted her to be involved in her wedding, so she asked her to make the cake. It turned out to be just what she wanted for her big day! In 2010 her baby sister was getting married and decided to ask Julie to make her cake and cupcakes. It was a hit and friends and family began requesting desserts for birthdays and special events. With the Michigan Cottage Food Law having just passed, Julie decided to see what she could do. What started as a part-time hobby has turned into her full-time dream job! With the help of family and friends, DreamScape Desserts continued to grow and has been a licensed bakery since 2013. Having spent the last nine years specializing in weddings and custom orders, in 2019 Julie decided to take the leap and open up a retail store. January 31, 2010 is the official "birthday" of DreamScape Desserts. Almost exactly 10 years later, Julie realized her dream and opened the doors to her retail location on February 1, 2020.
