Can't find what you are looking for? Be sure to email whomever you have been working with (Jenna or Karisa) and they will be happy to assist you with all of your questions!
We typically reach out to you about 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding date to start the finalization process. Once you have your RSVPs back, we are able to adjust the quantities of your order as needed. We will gather all of your final design, flavor, dessert choices, etc., at this time.
Final payment is due two weeks prior to the wedding date.
Once we have finalized your order details, we will put together an itemized invoice that will be emailed to you. The invoice will have all of your order details listed. After you review the invoice to make sure everything looks correct, you can pay the invoice right online using the button in the email that you receive. Payment can be made with a credit/debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay.
We can accommodate most dietary restrictions and allergies. Typically, we do individually packaged regular size cupcakes to meet the required dietary needs. If you have a larger group of guests with the same needs, we can do larger quantities.
Typically, wedding orders are picked up the morning of the wedding or the day before the wedding. Some items do not hold well overnight, so you will want to avoid these or plan on picking up the morning of.
In most cases, your display cake does not need to be refrigerated. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, select pie poppers and select dessert shooters also do not require refrigeration. The above items should all be kept in an air conditioned space and out of direct sunlight.
Cheesecake bites, select pie poppers and select dessert shooters do require refrigeration. These items can take up quite a bit of space so ample refrigerator space is required.
When transporting a cake and/or desserts, it is important that there is a FLAT space for the items in the vehicle. The cake should have the most level spot. The trunk is typically best. The vehicle should have great air conditioning. The driver should take corners slower and avoid hitting the brakes hard.
There are a lot of factors that go into this question! Generally, we will be fully set up prior to any guests arriving to the reception venue. If the ceremony is onsite, we will be there prior to the ceremony. If you are having the ceremony and reception in the same room and flipping the space, we generally will arrive during the room flip.
We will contact your venue the week of the wedding to get a final schedule for the day. Our delivery schedule is typically not determined until just a few days before the wedding, as outdoor wedding delivery times are weather dependent, so the weather plays a big role in our entire schedule.
Other things that play a factor in the delivery time is if the space is temperature controlled, what your order consists of and if we will be setting up or just delivering. No matter what, please remember that we will never deliver and/or set up your order earlier than what is necessary or compromise the quality of your desserts. Most items can sit out for a long time at room temperature (air conditioned) and be in perfect condition!
If we are delivering and setting up your order, the cake topper and/or flowers can be left right on the cake table at the reception venue.
The stands/platters that you are using to display the cake and/or desserts can be left of the cake/dessert table at your venue. If you want them to be in a specific layout, you can have them set up. Otherwise, we will arrange them and make them look nice when we arrive!
We recommend one tray per flavor (not type) of dessert that you have. This is a pretty good rule of thumb. Having an extra platter or two is never a bad thing. If there are extras, they can easily be tucked underneath the dessert table.
Cookies and brownies are easy to stack on each other, and look fantastic that way, so they typically can fit on most sizes of platters.
For cupcakes and pie poppers, a flat tray (no slanted lip) generally works best. When they have a slanted edge, it really takes away from how many you can fit on each tray. Typically on a 13" round charger, you can fit 2.5-3 dozen mini cupcakes or pie poppers. You can fit about 1 dozen regular size cupcakes on this size plate.
Cheesecake bites come on small 2.5" x 2.5" plates, with a fork on them. Cheesecake bites are typically put directly on the dessert table and spread out to fill in any spaces. However, if you want to put them on a platter of some sort, a square or rectangular shape is best.
Dessert shooters can be placed on most styles of stands/platters. Again, if you have any curved lips on the stand, it will take away from the overall capacity of the stand. Some couples opt to have dessert shooters placed directly on the table and scattered around.
We do not offer stand rental. However, there are so many options when it comes to finding displays for your desserts!
First, there are rental companies who offer dessert display items. This is a great option, as you do not have to purchase items that you may not want long term.
If you want a way to include family members and friends, you may decide to ask them to let you borrow their favorite display platter. This can be a really great way to achieve a more vintage look and have a personal touch.
Feeling crafty? We have seen so many amazing custom built dessert displays! From tree slabs to custom designed shelves, there are really so many ways to make something one of a kind for your wedding. When building things, just keep in mind the sturdiness and levelness of the items.
Wooden crates can be a great option! They are easy to stack to provide you with different height variations. Wooden crates typically can hold a lot of cupcakes. Keep in mind you may not want to use these for items such as cookies or brownies, as they can fall through the slats.
When it comes to acrylic towers, they are a great way to fit a lot of items in a small area and add height. Please keep in mind that most acrylic towers have one central support and in some cases, that is not enough to support the tower. We recommend looking for towers that have cross braces. If the tower is leaning or unsteady when you put it together the first time, it will be even more accentuated when desserts have been placed on them.
Lastly, there are so many great options available out there for purchase. The options really are endless! Keep in mind when purchasing stands/platters that you want something sturdy. If it seems like a "too good to be true" price, it very well may be. Check the reviews!
Ultimately, this question can be answered based on what size cake you are ordering! If you are planning on a 6" round, single tier cake, we put this size cake on an 8" round cake board, unless otherwise noted. We would recommend a stand with a minimum of an 8" diameter.
For 2-tiered cakes, please keep in mind we are starting to get somewhat heavy. A cake stand with one singular support down the center most likely will not support the weight of a 2-tiered cake. You will want to find something that is either solid/lays flat on the table or has more than one support. A 2-tiered, 6" round and 8" round cake is put on a 12" round cake board, whereas a 2-tiered, 6" round and 10" round cake is put on a 14" round board, unless otherwise noted. The cake stand should be at minimum the same diameter as the bottom tier of your cake.
For cakes with 3+ tiers, we do not recommend a stand for the cake. These cakes are very heavy and usually have large bases. Unless it is a tray that lays flat and is solid throughout, such as a wooden slab, the weight of the cake will likely compromise the stand. If you have Styrofoam tiers, then a stand may be possible, but we recommend discussing this with whomever you have been working with.
Yes! Unless you have left flavor cards for us, we will leave flavor cards for you. They are simple white tent cards, so nothing fancy, but work well for labeling each flavor. If you are looking for something more custom, then you would provide the flavor cards/sign. These items can be left right on the dessert table.
We do leave the box we bring the cake in and/or containers we brought dessert in at the reception venue. They are typically left underneath the dessert table. If there is no linen or underneath the table is visible, we will have given the items to venue staff.
